Cactus Monday (#62) Watermelons

This is an ATC I made inspired by a picture from Shanghai,
I loved that watermelon container! And this ATC I made a while ago. An interpretation of a painting by Frida Kahlo. I am also painting this one on the Wednesday art group. It is such a happy painting and I love that phrase: Viva La Vida! Happy Cactus Monday!

  1. Happy Cactus Monday Marianne. I love the cactus in the watermelon. The second painting reminds me of the hats the Latin Ladies used to wear while entertaining. Piled with fruit on their head dancing in beautiful full skirts. FUN

  2. I'll have to translate Viva la Vida. It sounds happy though!

  3. "Long live life" or "live life" would be the translation I think.

  11. Hi Marianne! I know I've seen your picture over at Diana Evans Blog, and I'm participating in Cactus Monday now. Just wanted to say hi and introduce myself!

Your cactus watermelon container is so neat! Mandalas are great too. :)
