Wonderful sketch Marianne. Your bird looks like an Oriole. HCM.
ReplyDeletehow lovely this is. hcm dear cactuteer.
ReplyDeleteOh SO pretty Marianne. Love your moon mandalas.
ReplyDeleteIt sure has the coloring of an oriole but not sure they are in Arizona so I am thinking Cactus Wren. Whatever he is, he is wonderful.

Hi Marianne! What a lovely painting! Maybe it is a woodpecker. I hear they like cactus. What ever it is I love it!
ReplyDeleteHCM!
I painted it after a picture from the internet so it really does exist......
ReplyDeleteThanks for all the ideas and comments!
So pretty, wish i had my bird book with me so i could look it up too. all the other answers sound good though.
ReplyDeleteHappy Cactus monday to you!
Beeutiful painting!! The full moon gives a very soothing, calming feeling to it!!
ReplyDeletemaybe it's a fagarwi bird, marianne. you know, the birds that get themselves lost and you can here them in the distance announcing, we're the fagawi!
ReplyDeleteforgive me. i couldn't resist. :)
your watercolors always soothe me, marianne. and today i heard the best news--something about mid august and running toward someone with open arms.

I don't know what it is, but I think it's very pretty. I love the cactus and bird silouetted against the moon.
