Gayatri Mantra

The Gayatri Mantra is said to be the oldest and most powerful of mantras, being thousands of years old. It purifies the person chanting it as well as the listener as it creates a tangible sense of well being in whoever comes across it. Translated, it means "May all beings on earth reach enlightenment," but as with all mantras, the meaning of the Sanskrit words isn't as important as the effect the vibrations of the words have on the body and energy centers.

Yesterday I went to my mantra group after missing it twice because of work.

We sang this mantra in 4 different versions.

Animal Wednesday / Art on Wednesday

Finally I finished my hermit crab today in my art group.

I am happy the way it turned out , I did some drastic changes.

Sometimes less is indeed more.

Today I had a play day. In the morning I played tennis and this afternoon I went to my art group.

Tomorrow it is back to work in my garden.

New York part II

Lo's gift for me. Eventually  I will hang this in my future studio but I thought it would be nice under my kitchen clock for the time being.

New York part I

 After  I arrived in NY we went to 230 Fifth.

 When in NY have a drink there at sunset and you will enjoy the most spectacular views!

Lovely place, wonderful food but we all agreed the music was @#$%^&

It was soooo good seeing KJ and JB again. nearly 2 years ago. Too long but it felt like it was yesterday, we just pick up where we left. And I know it will always be this way :)

And the same for Lo of course. I was so happy to see her and finally hug her again :)

The whole trip was like a dream come true.

I just don't know the right words to describe how happy I am to have met Lo KJ and JB again.

I think this is how real friendship should be. It doesn't matter how long it was ago since you saw each other.

Can you explain this to people who do not blog....?

And I know we will meet again and that it won't take 2 years again.

Mandala Workshop

 Yesterday I gave a workshop :) 

 it was a lovely day

 with lovely ladies

We worked hard 

 and had fun :) 

 And I am always amazed and inspired by the results.

 At the end of the day 

 They were almost finished.

 But far enough to finish the mandalas at home.

 Aren't the results amazing?

 and creativity

It was a wonderful day.

I had a very busy week and still no time to rest. I have to study for Tuesday and Wednesday I will fly to NY and I will meet some blogging friends!!!!!

YEAH!!!

I am so exited about that. 

I promise to take pictures and will post about it when I return.

I haven't had time to blog much or to leave comments. After the New York I will have my winter holiday which I hope will be like a spring holiday.

I hope to find time to post do some art myself, which I have missed doing.

Germain's daughter turned 30 yesterday!

My how time

I have the feeling I have so little to blog about at this moment. I just recovered from quite a flu.

Tomorrow I have one of my yearly exams for Flight Safety, so I have to study today. Thursday I fly to Panama.

Next leave I have to study for the second exam and than I fly to New York.

After that I will have my winter holiday, but I hope Spring will be here by then.

We are going to do some work in the garden and in May our builder will start with my studio :)

I haven't had any time (nor energy) to do art but I hope to get that after my New York.

I have also a workshop planned for this month, which I had to postpone because of my fly so next week I will be busy preparing for that as well.

So this is just a sign of life from me.

Oh and a question; does this new word verification of Blogger also drives you nuts?!

I think it is a real pain in the neck!

Sometimes it takes me more than 4 times to get it right. Grrrr!

I tried to look it up in my settings, but I can't find how to switch it off.

Any idea's?

PS: I think I did it but had to bring back the old Blogger interface to do so. Why does Blogger makes it so difficult lately?!
