Sjimmie

My dear Sjimmie died this morning, just 4 years old.
He has been ill for 14 days. At first I thought he was recovering but later his situation got worse.
We don´t know exactly what was wrong with him. Blood work and pictures couldn´t give a clear diagnosis.
This morning we took him to the vet for the 4th time in 5 days. After checking his blood and x rays we decided the suffering had been enough.
Losing a young cat is hard. The kids and I will miss him dearly.
My heart is broken but I am happy he is at peace now.
Hope your next journey will be an adventure again dear.
You will make cat heaven a happier place. You made our house a happy home the short time you were  with us.
I will miss you ♥

  1. Lieve allemaal

  2. oh no Marianne, I was so afraid that would be the news. He was so wonderful and regal. I was proud that he could be the mascot for Cactus Monday. My dear little nephew.

I hope he and Sunshine found each other and are romping around.

shedding sad tears for you, Sjimmie and Sunshine.

Big hugs and understanding in your loss. Our pets are like our children.

  5. Dearest M~

Well, you know how I feel. I like the thought of him meeting up with the others that have had to leave too soon as well.

Lots of love and hugs to you and the boys.
He was a very special kitty.

  6. Dear Zus....when I saw this beautiful tribute to the AMAZING, Beautiful, Panther-like, one-of-a-kind Sjimmie....I started crying all over again...

Although we never "officially met*...I feel I knew him a little...and loved watching him (via Skype) stroll theough his "Kingdom of Zierkize"...
My heart aches for you and the Boys...and for the other four-footed Furballs - who surely miss him too.

I told you what I believe....the *PoD* lives still - just not in our realm... he has met with Sunshine and Nikki and Stella and my Isolde, Moon and Spooky too.

You and Sjimmie came into my life at a sad time...and reading your posts about him, watching your videos and seeing art that he inspired (Teri....I adore that Cactus Sjimmie painting)...helped lift me out of my depression and back into the world.

I love him. I miss him.

You were the BEST MUM possible - and did everything you could to help cure him. He knew this - this is why he fought so valiantly to stay alive.

Only four years...but....really special, memorable ones. Sjimmie's grace and beauty reached out to us all - throughout the world. He lives on - in the hearts of those who loved him.

Love and Strength to you, and the family,

    ♥ R ♥

  13. I am so so sorry about Sjimmie's departurer to heaven.

I feel very sad too because you have shared with us its beautiful photos, paintings and also you made a video of Sjimmie playing with the handmade critter that I mailed to you.

I know, it will always there remain in your heart& soul. Good memories can always be traced. So, keep thinking the good memories you and Sjimmie have together! There must be tons and tons of them!

Yesterday, I was very sad as my two fishes died one after another but I know they gone for good. I cried but later I told myself to just recall the good memories. It's just the tears of happiness of knowing that they have departed to another beautiful world!
