Animal Wednesday / Lolo's Sjimmie

Yesterday a package arrived from Rhode Island.
Inside the most beautiful gift you can imagine. Painted by my dear friend Lolo.
My beloved Sjimmie, which I lost last month, returned home to be in my studio forever......
I put him in a spot so he can overlook the towers . And I can see him all the time.
It is just remarkable how Lo captured his soul  in this painting!
It IS Sjimmie. Even better than a photograph could capture his spirit!
The sides are exactly the same color as my lavender walls and can you see the background? In shades of lavender. The fence where Sjimmie used to overlook his kingdom.
Right under that spot I buried him, in a beautiful sunny spot.
Here is a the view from my studio, which you can also see in the background of the painting.
Isn't it just all stunning?!

There is no way words can describe how grateful I am with this painting and that the blogging universe brought me Lo on my path. You are such a remarkably talented artist and even more , such a special and dear friend to me.

HAW
Thank you so much :)

  4. Dear Marianne~

I'm so happy that the painting brought you tears of joy and remembrance. I put my heart into this one and I was nervous to present it to you. I'm glad it touched you in the way it did. he was a very special boy.♥

We had a big BIG storm here and I had to shut down the computers for a while. All is okay now. I'll email you about that video :) That really touched my heart as well.

I'm so glad the Universe brought us together. You are so very special to me.

  7. marianne, i have no doubt that this is one of those paintings that will be with you for all of your life. when i first saw it i stopped breathing for a moment or two, not just because it is so beautiful, but because i know it also reflects the love and connection you and lo have. to become friends, family even, across oceans and countries and physical planes, and then to have that love and connection affirmed and confirmed in physical time and space...well, how special and amazing is that?

to know that two special friends of mine are such special friends to each other brings me great joy. an incredible painting, ms lololo i told you so. wonderful.

  10. When I first saw the painting (before Lo shipped it to you), the first thing I thought was that Sjimmie would *approve* - and that now, part of him would proudly reside in your dreamy studio. This is a perfect tribute, a loving memory of the *one and only* PoD. Now, when you enter the studio, you will always gaze up to see him proudly surveying his kingdom. Lo is the consummate artist....she can incorporate what she feels in her heart with what her fingers create within the painting. This IS a gift from one heart to another.

    Love,

    ♥ Robin ♥

  14. I have not visited your blog in a long time, but wanted to stop and give my sympathies for the loss of your sweet Sjimmie, and to say, I too, sighed when I saw Lolo's painting! It is like having him right there with you in the studio you shared so many special times...Fly Free, Sjimmie, and may your heart fly free over the grief and let you smile again when you think of him...

  20. I don't know why I don't seem to get the notification that you have posted on your blog, which is why I haven't seen them in a while.
this painting is phenominal. And such a tribute and memory keeper for you!

I have seen allthe posts above this one too but will comment here. Such a mix of joys (visiting blog friends near and far); and sadnesses of losses and friend so ill. I can only send hugs for all of this Marianne. What can one say? Life whacks us up side the head now and again and it's hard. so hard. I hope the good parts flow again heavily for you! xoxo
