Ratjetoe
click to enlarge! klik om te vergroten!
Next to Diana's treats is a linograph by Coc van Duijn, a Dutch artist who makes stunning work. By means of puns she connects the humanworld with the world of animals. Unfortunately I don't know how to translate "Ratjetoe" in English, it means mismash but ratje means little rat and toe means dessert, so literally it is a rat for dessert (look in the cups).
My dear friend Erna gave me this wonderful piece a few years ago, because she knew I was a great admirer of her work. One of the best birthday presents ever! I love it, it is so cheerful!

This is hysterical. I love the expression on those cats faces. And the detritus (is that the word) of other meals in the foreground. You do have an eclectic art collection.
